Bridging question

I have Netgear WGR614V5 and my neighbor has LinkSys WRT54g. I want to setup bridge so that I can her computer remotely as well sparingly share ISP. I know WGR614V5 can not be set up for bridge. Can I swap the router and then it would be possible to set up bridge? Please let me know.

cable modem------>WRT54G(neighbor)-- -- -- bridge -- -->WGR614V5--------My PC.

If this can not be done can you suggest some inexpesive routers/bridge model numbers.

I am well aware of that. I have my own ISP, ClearWire and neighbor has Bright house so no question of a sharing on a regular basis. Moreover I read few post before posting my topic.

Then you probably missed the few that clearly states that the WGR614V5 can not Brdige as is and can not be flashed with a 3rd party firmware either. :thumbsup:

May it is better this way so you can not get your neighbor into trouble.:thumbsdown:

Thanks for your reply. I did know that V5 can not be flashed and that is why I asked if swapping the routers would solve the problem because WRT54G can be configured as bridge. The only thing I don't know is should both routers be capable of bridging or not.
The neighbor is 80 year old lady that keeps calling me even if she get page can not be found or other similar internet related problem. If I bridge with her router, then I can check remotely what the problem is. HOPE THIS CLARIFIES THE SITUATION. If you thing you can help me, help me else LOCK the thread, I won't mind a bit.

The motorola WR850G(v2), with 6.x firmware, can enable WDS mode speaking to a WRT54G(v2) running factory stock firmware. So if she has a WRT54G that is based on the broadcom platform (same OEM platform as the motorola), then you could pick up that motorola router, flash it, and enable WDS mode.
