Hey everyone, I recently got a GTX 1070 and I wanted to flash the card with the latest BIOS but I flashed it to a wrong version by mistake.
The card is being read by GPU-Z as if its working, I can set the fan speed, frequencies and all but its not displaying anything(black screen).I've flashed it to the stock bios from Gigabyte website but its still not displaying anything.
Any solutions? Ive heard its possible to unbrick it with a DOS USB
Waiting for your answers
Thanks ! ^_^

You might be able to find the stock bios here. https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?did=10de-1b81--

You should always save a copy of your stock bios before you do any type of bios flashing just in case you have issues.

What did you use to flash your bios?

Are you sure you actually used the correct bios file to update or flash back?

http://www.gigabyte.com/WebPage/40/index.htm

Gigabyte has a couple listed. Looking at the above it does show a warning about version flashing.

Not a whole lot of bios options on gigabyte's website.

I've used nvflash for flashing my bios not the alternatives listed on their website. I used some wrong BIOS versions I went from F1 all the way up to F11 beta which I shouldnt but the thing is that my pc was working after i restarted my pc with the F11 Beta bios, i played games for 2 hrs straight and had no issues, but when i shut down my pc later and turned it on, Voyla black screen.
Ive read articles saying that this card has a dual bios and once i plug in a different adapter to the GPU the 2nd bios will kick in.

Did you try using the utility that is included with the bios file yet?

If it was me I'd disable the 1070 in device manager and try the utility that is included with the file. See if it show successful or not. If shows successful then enable it in device manager and reboot and see what happens.

Not sure about the dual bios thing? Looks more like it's a boots 2nd if 1st fails. Not sure but maybe you flashed both?

You could get a blank screen if your UEFI is set to full efi boot and the gpu's bios doesn't fully support an efi boot.

I had to set the Compatibility Support Module to auto on my Asus mobo for my previous gpu, or it wouldn't initiate or turn on with windows.

Have you tried using a different port to connect your monitor to.
