Brick and mortar in New York

Can anyone point me towards a good brick and mortar store in Manhattan (or something subway-accessible)? I'm new to the area and feel the need for the instant gratification of picking stuff up in person. I don't need fancy service, just a good selection of parts and good prices, so that I can assemble myself.
Thanks in advance.

What Mday said, I was just in New York last week. You've got two CompUSA stores (one on 5th and 37th and the other on Broadway and 57th, but the entrance is on 8th) and RSC on Madison near the Sony Store / Niketown / Bloomingdale, around that area. I picked up ComputerUser newspaper from CompUSA and the ads for computer stores are rather scarce. Oh, I just remembered, there's also a computer store that I didn't visit that was on the opposite side of the street from the 5th and 37th CompUSA, it was called Data...something or other. J and R at Park Row and Broadway near the WTC has a good selection, but the price point is rather suspect. Good luck!
