This really bugged me. Perhaps he should focus more on gameplay instead of screenshot candy. I find it ridiculous that 80's games like Star Control 2 were much more enjoyable than any of the 3D FPS junk released today. They hardly last more than a week on my computer. Notice that all those games he mentioned that weren't "developer nightmares" are extremely strong in gameplay. IMO the entire gaming community has focused far too much on how many frames per second you get, and how nifty the graphics look. Where's the gameplay?
