marv lewis should be next

and who would want to replace him?
ditka!! lol.

i dunno what you mean by who would want to replace him, there are plenty of coaches who would take that, or any nfl HC job.

if you mean, who would be a better replacement, i'd think singletary (if parcell's doesn't get him first) and garrett, to name two, would be good choices.

Before Marvin Lewis the Bengals were horrible. I believe this year was his worst record. I think the Bengals are saddled by not having a proper GM. Why would the Bengals want to bring in another unproven coach (besides Shotty or Cowher)?

The Bungles have also been hindered by player issues (both injury and legal). Chris Perry, David Pollock and Kenny Irons are injured, then knuckleheads like Chis Henry and Odell Thurman can't keep out of trouble.

Billick only lasted this long because of that ridiculous defense and the SB win. He's been a terrible head coach, especially on the offensive side of the ball (where he supposedly is a "guru").

Billick is supposed to be an offensive guru, which he never showed. Lewis is supposed to be a defensive guru, which he has never showed.

Head Coaches dont draw up plays... they dont even call them in the game. They merely manage the other coaches...

If he was such a guru... he shoulda stayed a coordinator.

Bill Cowher, Jason Garrett, Rex Ryan, Krik Ferentz, Josh McDaniels, Marty Schottenheimer

I wouldn't consider Cowher, McDaniels, Schottenheimer to be realistic contenders. The others, yes.
I thought Garrett is being groomed to be the next Dallas coach? Makes me wonder if Jones would cut Phillips right away in order to prevent Garrett from jumping ship.

Exactly. I just don't like how he claimed to know so much about QBs and brought in disaster after disaster to run the Ravens' offense.

As for the Bengals, they need to straighten out their FO and make a commitment to providing world-class facilities for the team to practice in. A real GM would also help the coaching situation significantly and would maybe help them make some smarter moves.

Billick brought this on himself. He took over the play calling last year when he fired Jim Fossell. Now even his defense stinks. Good riddance.
