A smile to my face and a chuckle to my lips. You, sir, win the thread. I will be sorely disappointed if you didn't come up with that on your own.

At this point I just wish Favre would die so I never have to hear about him again.

The Vikings are fucked.
Honestly I don't think TJax has the skills to step up.

The upside is that AP will get 350 carries this year.

He should stop, "the int" from last year's loss to the Saints was just the most horrid play, WTF would anyone throw the ball across the grain of the defense in a critical situation like that is beyond dumbass..

He'll show up at the NFC Championship game, just to throw a pick on the last offensive play.

Because nobody thinks you can/should. He made it work perfectly the week before.

The int was a fluke and the game should never have come down to it anyway. Favre has *always* done desperate things when the team around him fails him. Guess what? The team utterly failed him that game. Every single Vikings WR/RB were fucking it up.

Blaming Favre for the Vikings losing that game, especially because of the INT, is ridiculous and inane. Get a new argument once you've thought about it some more.

He's not going to retire this year. I can't see that happening at all. It's just to skip training camp like last year since it's too much hard work for his old body.

One of the ESPN guys made of a comical article out of it at least: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=hruby/100803_brett_favre_retiring&sportCat=nfl

lol, that was a great article, I love the last line:

Always remember: We can't pretend to miss you if you don't pretend to leave

Sidney Rice is gonna be pissed! Everybody thought he was a noname WR before Favre came. Now with Tavaras chucking the ball at people's feet, Rice is going to go back to his pedestrian numbers again. .......Unless Tavaras becomes the second coming of Aaron Rodgers. lol

True, true. Tavaras has about as much of a shot being the next Aaron Rodgers than Carrot Top being the new leading man in a Twilight movie.

Haters will hate. Favre was/is awesome. And I am not a Packers fan.

I am a Packers fan, so I have mixed emotions about Favre. His numbers were fantastic last year, unfortunately for the Vikings he made one bad decision at a critical time in a huge playoff game. Does anyone think that they would have made it to the NFC championship with any of their other QB's? Would they have put on a better performance against the Saints with one of those other QB's?

I'll have to say, I'll be sad to see him retire. Despite his annoying traits off the field, it was great watching him on the field.

On the radio this morning they were saying that the Vikings are trying to change his mind by upping his contract to $20 million for this year.

That sucks. I just moved to the Twin Cities area and was hoping to take my son to a Vikings game with me considering this upcoming season, if he played again, would most certainly be his "last hurrah."

I suppose now I can take my son so he can watch Tavarius Jackson and observe how NOT to play quarterback.

Don't forget, you also have Sage "Let me give you the ball game" Rosenfels, who might be your starter now.
