updated.

It was apparently confirmed by his agent. No news on a press conference yet, but hopefully he will do one. Unfortunately his last pass will be an interception, but that should be the least he'll be remembered for.

I thought he would've given it one more year based on how good his last season was.

The federal government better put a suicide watch on all the residents of Wisconsin.

as a packer fan i am torn. i love watching him and when he is in the game anything can happen and it makes every game an exciting one. on the other hand i am excited to see what this young team can do with a younger growing QB. they can only get better and i think they have the possibility to be a very very good team as they grow and get more experience. Favre is a class act and the game will be a little less exciting without him.

Except for not winning a championship, it was one of his best ever. Retiring now is surprising, given how well he and his team did last year, and how wide open the NFC is.

Well he wanted a play maker like Moss. But they did not sign him or anybody else to help Farve. So if he did come back i dobt they would do as well. He knew it and went out with a great winning season.

that is very true. but i think he would rather go out having a season like that then have the chance of a really crappy one next year. we had a lot of close games go our way last year and it may not happen agian next season.

i am excited to see what he can do. he had a heck of a teacher for the last few years to get him ready for the starting job. hopefully he can lead a solid offense this coming season.

I guarantee that Wisconsin newspapers & TV stations will now do stories on depression, suicide & how to spot & deal with it. I remember they did it back when the Packers lost to Denver in the superbowl.

Well, now we find out if Aaron Rodgers is for real or not.
