Those of us from Wisconsin have been watching Favre his whole career. He sets an example for his team and the rest of the NFL. He is a true role model and a true class act. Since he became a starter in 1992, the other 31 teams have had over 155 different starters.(average of five per team) His father was a great guy. After home games Irv would come on Packer Radio Network and talk with the guys and tell it like it is....if they played great he said so...if they stunk up the joint, he said so. I will really miss his special insights and humor.

i got to meet brett a few years ago, he is a very impressive person to talk with. and his father was with him, and you could tell they were close.

its good to see him do what a pro should...when you are playing the game, that is all that matters.

But, it is still his job. As minute as some might consider his job, its still his job, he gets paid millions to do it. I find it quite admirable to be able to do that.

Like I wrote, it is a matter of what is important to you In the long run, family is much more important than a football game or how much money you make.

Favre played like a warrior tonite. Fitting that it was the best performance of his year. His recievers did an amazing job too.

i like favre and he is a good QB and all, but part of his performance had to do with the non-existant Oakland secondary

Brett's Family encouraged and wanted him to play. Its what his father would have wanted. His father would have been proud of him and his wife flew out to Oakland to be with him and they are leaving tonight for Miss.

Football and the Packers are very important to the Favre family and Irv was at many home games.

And what do you know about his situation? Do you even know who his father was and how important football was to his father? If anything his near record setting performance tonight was an obvious tribute to the man that football meant so much to. He has his priorities in line. It's not like he missed the wake or the funeral. His family even encouraged him to go play. He has his priorities in line. Cut him some slack instead of questioning what he does with his life.

Forget about Farve, right. EVERYONE in football is going to forget about him and all of his years of playing and all the memories he has given us. Please. He will probably become a commentator anyway.
