Brett Favre cuts his hair

My heart really goes out to Favre, he's had a rough couple of years. I hope his wife pulls through, he doesn't need anymore tragedy in his life.

I agree...and hopefully some good can come from this.

I think he is also being a good role model to men everywhere, that if their wife or loved one gets this dreaded disease that they can and should be as supportive as possible.

I wish Favre and Favre's wife good luck.

My sister-in-law is having the same thing done tomorrow, a lumpectomy to be followed up by some weeks of chemo. Crappy way to spend a Christmas holiday.

oh yeah...i wish the rams would have got him

he was well worth the 1st round pick we had to give away to get him.

big up to my fav. QB of all time. This guy has alot of heart on and off the field. I wish him the best!!!!!!!

Is Favre setting himself up to run for public office? 😛 j/k

He's a rarity in professional sports thats for sure.

Small town Green Bay will do things to ya 🙂

I doubt he'd ever run for office....but you never know.

you're right he's a rarity, and professional sports will miss him after he retires.

I heartily agree with your second statement. A rare treasure, that Brett Favre - A professional athlete TRULY WORTHY of being a role model!

His stretch of consecutive starts, over 200?, is godly in sports history imo. The quarterback position is probably the most vulnerable position in sports, except for a race car driver etc., and the amount of pain that he must have often endured during his career must have been excruciating. Add to the fact that his remarkable skills to get the job done throughout his career makes an extremely rare combination.

Favre took over for an injured Don Majkowski on Sept. 27, 1992. Since then, 11 of his backups have gone on to start for another team. Last week, Eli Manning became the 178th quarterback to have started a game in the NFL since Favre last came off the bench.

Favre has really proven himself to be a class act!

 for him and a  to his wife for a full recovery!

Well, if you discount all the starting quarterbacks the bears have had in that time, the number is actually closer to 6 or 7. 😛
