I met him in the Philly airport once. Actually had no idea who he was, and he got really pissed at me. He was sitting at a bar there only for a few minutes, but the guy did seem annoying.

You mean to say a guy with stringy blonde hair covered by a dirty bandana, blue eyes, a sprayed on tan and pink lipstick got mad because you didnt know who he was, try to kiss his ass or even care about his "c list" celebrity status? Pshaw.

Curiously, did you walk up to him or vice versa? I could picture him walking around the bar looking at everybody one by one hoping for reactions. Sad really.

Bret may be a douche (usually douches are the only ones to use that word though), but the guy gets massive play and attention.

He is just being honest in reality.

There's an awful lot of replies in this thread without any mention of Axl Rose.

I guess his career really is dead now that no one remembers him.

This dude has to be the biggest douchebag in rock.

Not while Bono and Lars Ulrich are alive.

Now that's a tough pair to beat :^D

I was listening to the Metallica Sirius radio channel yesterday, and Lars was on there saying how he would love to do a gig with U2, mentioning how cool it would be to see him and bono on a promotional poster. The first thing I thought of was this post. Good call.

Admit it, you've watched Rock of Love

I watch the show. I thnk he's a cool guy. Not a huge fan of his music - but he seems like a pretty down-to-earth guy, given his past and success.

the ONLY reason I am glad Rock of Love is on the air is it gives Joel Mchale good material for The Soup.

If it weren't for that, I would wish nothing but seeping boils and pestilence on everyone involved with the show.

No, that title belongs to Sebastian Bach. Michaels is a close second.

They toured together last year I believe. I saw them both at the same concert. Crap, I am showing my age now, because I like poison. Enough to make a $5k donation to RIF to get Q101 to play Sexual Thing on the radio in Chicagoland 😛

Eh, according to that, at least he quasi-apologized for the whole Napster deal by admitting he didn't know a whole lot about what was going on.
Not that he needed to. There is a massive difference between tape-trading and mass-scale piracy or bootlegging.

Why all the hate for Lars Ulrich? Im not trying to start a shit storm, Im seriously asking. I dont know anything about these rock guys, just curious as to why he considered a douche.

Lars hated on rampant digital piracy but admitted that he and friends traded tapes back in the analog days before the internet. Supporters of piracy seized upon this as hypocrisy on the part of Ulrich.
