Well it's really called diaphragmatic breathing. It is hard to relearn and replace your already habitual breathing back to your original way of breathing.
Best way to do it is to lay down on your back, fold your hands over your tummy and breathing slowly all the way down. You will see your hands rise and fall with inhalation and exhalation. Breath in all the way so that your tummy is big and hold if you 2 seconds then exhale slowly.
Repeat this. like ten time. It calms and relaxes you.
