WHY????

In my wife's case....after the birth of our first child, my wife's breasts ballooned several sizes and was causing her alot of problems with her back and chest. The doctor and physical therapist had no problem approving the surgery after they saw the pain she was experiencing.

Are you asking about female breasts, or male breasts?

female. how many males do you know that lactate?

None, but some guys, due to hormonal problems or bad genes end up with female-like breasts (not fatty fat fat manboobs) and need them reduced.

Asking about lactation is better than asking for your 'friend'.

My girlfriend's friend got a reduction. She is very happy with it. Her back was always hurting etc. She has never been pregnant so sorry about the lactation question but I can tell you that she said they were sore over a week later and claimed that for the first few days she couldnt do much but sit around the house.

I know two people who've had it done. They're both happy with the results. I've not seen the before OR after so I don't know what they look like.

My wife would do it but she's not big on surgery, so I don't know that she ever will.

They recommend waiting till after having babies to have it done if you plan on breastfeeding. Otherwise, plan on two surgeries. :(

The surgeon that performed my wife's surgery said that she may or may not be able to breastfeed. It depends on how much is taken out of the breast. My wife has been able to breastfeed with our second child (thankfully - forumla is f'n expensive).

At least in the old days, that surgery meant no more nerves to the bannable word meaning the pointy bits at the end. I hope that that has changed?

I have nipples, could you milk me, Stefan? :p
In all seriousness, my GF will likely be getting this procedure in a few years, but we don't know much about it yet.

My friends wife had it done a couple years back. According to him, his Wife is still very insecure about the scars. Apparently the surgery left her with large scars under the breast, where 2 yrs later they are still quite visible. She is apparently so insecure about these scars that he tells me that she now wears t-shirts to bed. Sad.

A girl who grew up across the street from me had a reduction when she was ~22yr old. I heard from a mutual friend that she was very pleased with the results as it eliminated her constant back problems and made her look much thinner.

However, I was a bit perplexed when I was told that the other reason why this girl had a reduction was because "she was tired of going to bars and meeting guys just to have them stare at her breasts all night."

Um, hello!?! It's a bar, not a library. What did she expect?
