<< NFS4, unless she's asking for advice, it's not really your business. >>

If a friend told me that she was thinking about committing suicide or killing someone (I know it's not the same thing, but the it's the principle), is it still not my business?? :|

The fact of the matter is, this is a life-changing experience and there are consequences for every action...

Well, I don't think so since it isn't even close to being the same thing, but of course you're in a better position to judge than I am. I guess I should have worded it better, like "It's her decision to make, yada yada..."

<< My gf's mom offered her a college education or breast implants when she graduated high school. >>

Well, that's the most bizarre thing I've heard all week. Glad she choose school too.

<< Right for models and certain "actresses", wrong for ladies >>

I don't understand what you mean by this. In our society models and actress are what women are "supposed to look like" if you say they can, then it shold also be the same for standard women. If anything, according to your statement, models and actresses shouldn't get them.

I didn't work directly for Dow, they contracted the company I worked for in Minneapolis to scan, OCR and index millions of pages of documents.

thebestMax, from men like you, I consider it more 'appreciation' and I don't mind it one bit. A gentleman knows how to make a woman feel appreciated without making her feel like a peice of meat, and you seem to have the right touch (at least in cyberspace!). :)

It's the guys who can't seem to get their gaze any higher than my collar bone that get on my nerves....:disgust:

My breasts can't hear you!

Anyway, back to the subject.

That idiotic mother who offered her daughter breast implants or college is just the product of society... she is just too weak minded to realize what she has done to herself and to her child. Bet she will spend her retirement on plastic surgery, too! Sad, sad, sad. Of course, I was raised by a woman who always said "Breasts are for breast feeding" and fed us all wheat germ, so what do I know? :D

I am not against breast implants, but I am sad that so many women won't feel good about themselves unless they have them.... and even sadder that once they have them, they will realize that big boobs are not the panacea they might seem... the girls who have breast reductions will attest to that! It's your basic tree of troubles... you are just trading one set of problems for another.

Oh well. Such is our modern society.

<< My breasts can't hear you! >>

LOL Isla. Are they hard of hearing? Maybe the problem is that men stay too far away when we talk to you. Should we be moving in closer? ;)

Personally, I don't have any preference for a particular size. They're there, and that's all that's important. :) But I see it basically like any body modification, be it piercings, tattoos, or whatever. It's not right or wrong, just be damn sure you want to do it before you actually go through with it. That's why I don't have an tats yet, I've been trying to decide if I want to change something about my body permanently. I had my ear pierced at one point, and let that heal over but that darn little bump in my ear still bugs me to this day. :disgust:

As Isla stated, being someone who is a little larger than average definitely is not all fun and games. As far as clothes go, you cannot wear everything you want to, for fear of drawing more attention than usual to them. And the men staring at them while talking to you, oh, I would love to just slap them upside the head with one of them. Too bad they are not that flexible. ;)

I myself hate breast implants, as the only people who seem to want them are women who think they will look better for having them, or men who just want to stare at them on their women. A woman should not feel the need to expand the size of her chest to improve her looks.

I am with Isla on this one.
I'm not against them, but a woman really shouldn't get them just to feel better about herself.

<< Frankly, my natural ones are a pain in the culito >>

Hee hee hee---I hear ya. Same here. Kind of tired of busting out of my shirts(unintentionally) and having my daughter pat them affectionately in public:eek:

LOL it's been a while since I heard someone say culito!:D

They cost a lot of money.....maybe she could just buy a new wardrobe and try a new hair style. She would still have enough left over to take a nice vacation.

And as always this is just MHO

For some reason,I don't find implants attractive at all,and I find the woman who has them less attractive just for having the implants. I'm sure I'm not alone in that thinking that way.

I like your position on the issue Isla. It's right on target.

I don't like them fake. I can make the most of whatever is there, as long as it's real. I do however support the use of implants for women who need reconstructive surgery.

The friend of NFS4 does want to hear his opinion, or she'd just have the procedure done and not talk about it before-hand. It is a surgery and violates the body in the way all surgery does. If not for life-sustaining reasons, or for corrective (to recover from serious illness or accident) plastic surgery I myself would not do it. If she does still want to have it done then by all means advise her to find a top-notch doctor, lots of things to go wrong with this like severed milk ducts, nerve injury, infection, etc.

I'll be repeating a lot of what was said, but posting is still free!

I hear a lot of women saying they want them, but I don't know too many who had them saying how happy they are about it. Maybe once you get it done you don't talk about it any more. Or maybe people who had it done aren't really thrilled about it after the fact.

Not including reconstructive surgery, getting implants just to have bigger ones seems like a stupid thing. Any surgery has risks, and I can't see where there are any benefits to outweigh the risks. Unless you're a stripper and it's a career move.

When a woman gets implants just to have big 'uns, it says "I see myself as a sex object". At least to me.

I think its a waste of money and time if a girl who doesn't need them gets them done but hell its their choice.

Hrm....after seeing some breast implant patients, I don't think having areola (sp?) that are 6 inch in diameter is attractive..:p

MTV had a special on this not too long ago. It was pretty good. It took 4 girls,(3 pumping up, 1 chopping down) through the whole thing. They even showed their breast, both before & after. Check their site maybe they will be showing it again. Sorry I don't have the program name, but I was channel surfing, and stopped when I saw some guy (it was the doc, but still...) feeling up one of the girl's nude boob.:D I think any woman thinking about doing it, should see it first. So should any guy who's trying to talk some girl into it.
