Breakout box for Audigy

I was wondering if I can plug in the Audigy Platinum EX's breakout box into my Audigy 2 ZS. The ZS card seems to have the same pin outs as the Audigy card.

I really liked the Toslink Fiber Optic input on the EX but the card is broken. Im wondering if I can just transplant the EX box to my replacement soundcard - the Audigy 2ZS

No you can't. The original Audigy has different audio characteristics than the sequels, so Creative changed the pins to intentionally make them incompatible.
