If WMD were found at this point, would anyone actually believe they were not planted?

Theres no way.. to many people would know about the "plant" and someone would tell their wife, and she'd blow it.
How so? You'd only need a special ops team to get it in and do the dirty work and a handful of high-ranking officals to work out the logistics. Maybe a tragic hellicopter crash after the mission to silence the team and the officals would be so intertwined in the outcome they would know not to talk.

Isn't the culture in the military such that you guys know generally that crazy black-op ****** goes down and you're supposed to not ask questions?

I am in no way saying that this is what will happen, but it's not like you'd need thousands upon thousands of people in the know to pull something like this off.

If more than 1 person is involved, it is no longer a secret....someone always talks. People like to brag about their accomplishments...especially politicians and politicians would have to be involved at some point in a mission to plant WMDs.

You think they'd run this kind of thing by congress?

Funny you say the thing about only one person keeping a secret, obviously a few more people were involved in the Kennedy assasination and there's really no answer to that 40 some years later.

Ahh...a conspiracy theorist.

I assume you're talking about the Kennedy comment and I can reply to that by paraphrasing Dave Chappelle.

"I'll tell you who killed Kennedy, Lee Harvy Oswald. Yes, Lee Harvy Oswald killed Kennedy alone...with a magic bullet. Yes, that's right folks, magic exists and we've known about it for some 2000 years."

Well for this you'd have scientists involved, some sort of politicians, and the people doing the task. The list of people who knew would be pretty large.

Granted, its possible that someone wouldn't spill the beans, but if someone did, heads would roll.

And to answer your question, yes of course black op stuff happens a lot.
