well, there's a thread in P&N but that might get a little sidetracked :D

Glad they've thwarted it - was amazed to listen to the radio this morning and find people complaining about the security measures being put in place.

Staines, m8.

I remember my uni days in Egham, getting the train to Staines to do some shopping. Ah, happy times :D

Last time I went to Staines was to go to Mamas and Papas for some baby stuff!

Just got word that the TSA is not allowing liquids in carryons on flights today. No shampoo, mouth wash, bottled water.

EDIT: Mosh beat me

EDIT 2: That means no more liquor from exotic locations coming home with me. :(

Yeah, I'm flying tomorrow. I'm checking everything except a book.

EDIT: Man, good luck with the insulin.

Check them, I brought 3 bottles of wine and 3 bottles of Yeagermeister home from Europe. My buddy had 6 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of Yeagermeister. Not only did they survive the flight, but they lost my luggage in Heathrow and when it finally got back to the states, all that survived DHL bringing it to my doorstep.

EDIT: Any of you Brits want to help me out, check out my sig...you just need to be a middle man.

No, I wouldn't dare try to check those @ Heathrow, today. Iamwiz didn't specify where he was going/coming from. I just meant in general, you should check your booze.

I never check them because I see how beaten up my luggage gets after each trip.

That will go away after a few months. Just like that shoe bomber guy, right after that, EVERYONE had to put their shoes through the scanners....now only a handfull of airports still make you do that. People need something to be afraid of, once someone else tries a different tactic, liquids will be fine.

Doubt it. I bet that soon (next 5 years) carryon will be prohibited.

The Liquid ban is for carry-on only. You can still put them your check-in baggage, at least thats what CNN is saying.

Maybe, doesn't matter. The TSA can barely focus their efforts on one thing. Like I said, as long as they have a ban on something, almost everything else will be fine.

What's worse is no more contact solution and/or rewetting drops in my carryon.
