For the life of me I cannot imagine why people are arguing over the racial makeup of the magical man who lives on the North Pole, enslaves elves, and rides a sleigh around dispensing Xboxes. At least Jesus was most likely a real person.

Megyn Kelly's argument that she was just joking is of course utterly transparent horseshit, but she was just playing to the kind of person who watches her show anyway. No one takes her seriously.

Chappelle did do at least one bit where he played characters in a "Wife Swap" style mock TV show where a black family and a white family swapped the wives and he played the fathers of both families with makeup lightened skin to be the white father. So he did do a "white face" at least once that I'm aware of.

Isn't splitting Santa into every imaginable racial group segregation all over again? I find it strange that its even an issue. If a child is "traumatized" by Santa Claus being a white man, then that's a messed up household.

No one has suggested that anyone was traumatized (so not sure why you're putting it in quotes) by this, at all, ever.

No one is suggesting splitting Santa into racial groups.

I do find it funny, though, when people try to compare the long-reviled sambo character to blacks doing whiteface these days.
