Amidst the ominous threat of military action by the United States, Saddam Hussein suprisingly announced today his full intention to comply with the UN resolution 1441 call to disarm. In a rare press conference held today at one of his presidential palaces, Hussein claimed he had already begun the disarming process, and appeared to offer details long sought by the United States of his recent arms program.

He went on to say that "this is a new beginning for the people of Iraq" and that with cooperation from the international community, he will have all of Iraq entirely disarmed by the end of next month.

When asked to comment, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld remitted, "We knew all along he had some big guns - now we've got the smoking gun."

No one wants to nuke us. What the NK experience tells us, to get respect from the Police States, you need some nukes. I'm sure most countries are catching on to this lesson.

well nukes are aces in the hole. Even people like saddam wouldn't use it unless it was a last resort, cause he knows as well as every other nation does that the use of one means total and complete retaliation. I.E. he launhes one at Isreal, Isreal will retaliate and Iraq will be Awreck. Other Arab nations will either invade Isreal or bomb them and it will snowball.

I guess the main point is the people like Saddam and Kim Jong Daffy Duck Want to be in power and will not start anything with nukes, especially with the U.S. cause they can't win.
