Hmmm, I wonder how those negotiations are doing? 😉

I think NK is on the way to finding out why it isn't a good idea to try and push around a global megapower.

Tell me (and I am serious here) what will the global megapower do?
My answer: Nothing
what's yours?

Probably more than nothing. We are not in the position to do anything until we get some of out troops out of the middle east. However we can stop feeding them and put up a naval blockade...

1. That won't happen for many years.
2. Goodbye South Korea...
"Nothing" is probably the best thing to do as far as NK goes. I have yet to hear a better proposal.
Assertion 1 is probably fair since our military resources are a bit tied up atm. 2 is ludicrous though. It takes more than 4 or 5 nukes to take out an entire country. Especially in NK's stage of development.Originally posted by: MartyTheManiak

If the North Koreans want to push us to the limit, South Korea (and maybe Japan) will take a lot of beating before the North's regime becomes a footnote to history. In that respect, everyone would've failed. Tens of millions may die. But it's just something that had to be done.

Uh huh, and I wonder if you would think the same way if the Korean Peninsula was right next to the US![]()
I have lived in Korea for a long time and I know the geopolitics there. I am sorry but a war is VERY unlikely and will never happen.
Consider, if a war breaks out BOTH SIDES HAVE TOO MUCH LOSE. Not to mention:
1. China will intervene.
2. US and UN will intervene.
And you know what happens then.
War will never happen.
