Don't get me wrong I like watching sports(love playing the more) but who gives a shit. How does this impact your life at all?

I'll never understand how people get so caught up in something like this.

don't worry, those are just the trolls who love going into threads they 'dont care about' just to let everyone know they don't care about the topic at hand and anyone else who likes it is an idiot.

you really can't get more pathetic than that on an internet forum.

because i don't understand why a wide receiver leaving a team makes people break out in emotions makes me pathetic?

you're a moron.

it IS retarded to let it ruin your day.

>_>

Please be sure to apply this mentality to whatever it is that you're passionate about. If you don't have any passion for a hobby/sport/whatever, then screw you, weirdo.

oh, please. people get ridiculous over sports, it's a fact. sure, they get ridiculous over other things too.

i like wakeboarding, but don't care about the top rider or what he's doing. it doesn't change anything in my life.

i can understand getting upset about it but the way some people act is fucking retarded. my brother, for example, huge arkansas fan. them losing a game ruins his weekend and that's retarded.

i'm not saying i would point and make fun of the OP if i saw him in public but really, sports and the way people worship a team full of overpaid selfish pricks isn't something i care to hear about.

eat one, sally.

This is how you treat someone who does not agree with your "mentality"? I'm with him because I've been on both sides of this. I was a huge fan for 30+ years of an un-named team but gave it all up years ago. It was ridiculous for me to waste so much of my recious time on this nonsense.

if you cannot understand that others may not agrees with you ... perhaps you are the "wierdo".

Well said ... I agree with the vast majority of this.

i know i probably came off as a douche nozzle(and that's ok) but it wasn't my intentions. i love watching a good game. i like arkansas but i don't give a damn if they are the top SEC team year in and year out. i would rather watch college ball ANY day over the pros.

you want to worship some egotistical, overpaid cry baby, then by all means be my guest, weirdo. they act like fucking babies and last time i checked they bleed red, just like me.

so in short, if you can't understand where i'm coming from then get fucked.

Ignoring that you seem completely oblivious to a bit of satire, god forbid someone get invested in something and, you know, care.

Ever get upset when your favorite guitarist left their band? When a favorite author ends a series? When a favorite actor leaves a show? Same song different tune.

I'm fine with making a fool out of myself in order to find out answers. Only a child would be "embarrassed" because they don't understand something.

Did you really think that he would be posting to ATOT if he was in fact in critical condition? 🙄

Or when the Italian Chicken Sangwich goes away at BK.

My little theory as to why a lot of men are wrapped up in sports is that it provides a masculine emotional release valve. It is ok for guys to get upset, angry, overjoyed, .etc when it comes to sports. At least for the most part.

wrong. i'm not downing people for enjoying their hobbies. let me fuck you up with some knowledge real quick.

the MAJORITY of professional athletes are fucking babies. they have this sense of entitlement about them. they get paid to train to be in the best shape of their life, make millions, have people pouring gatorade in their mouth like they're some immortal deity.

i'll admit, i hated when lost ended. as much as the last 3 seasons sucked bird dick, i was still sad it was over. guess what, i didn't rant to all my peers.

itsokbroweknow.

Easy guy, it's a joke thread. I think everyone except you could tell right off the bat. Feel free to take your soapbox to P&N though.

I love college sports, where things are so honest and players play for the love of the game. Good thing they aren't entitled douchebags who get paid to play a game.

Oh wait, that's not true, hahaha.

It was the right decision, the Colts didn't want to see the Manning era end with him in convulsions on the turf when someone hits Peyton and the dude becomes a paraplegic.

Agreed. I'm not a sports guy, but I enjoy ICF's presence and posts.

I enjoy his presence, his posts are another matter.

Cliffs:

Peyton Manning: Walks on water; makes Jesus Christ look like a douchebag

Tom Brady: Responsible for the Holocaust, Lindberg kidnappings, and global warming

Indy Colts: Any losses since coming from Baltimore have been the fault of bad calls, cheating by the oppossing team, misalignment of the planets, dark energy etc. etc.

NE Patriots: 2 or 3 notches below the Khmer Rouge, and the mere fact that they exist, should be a crime against humanity. Team rituals include consumption of live babies, devil worship, watching videos of the opposing teams signals... 🙂

Seriously though, watched the press conference today-Just proves what a class act Peyton is. Lebron could have taken a lesson from him on how a sports figure should leave town.
