Someone should have beat his ass

Oh man would that be scary - imagining that you came so close to being blown to pieces. I wish someone had tackled that guy.

CONFIRMED: No Injuries on the Bus.

Again, sounds like the device was not significant enough, thank goodness.

Explosion reported on a bus in East London Hackney after bomb blasts at three central London underground stations. One witness describes "bodies lying around."

July 21, 2005, 3:57 PM (GMT+02:00)

Warren Street, Shepherds Bush and Oval evacuated. First report of suicide bombers on the bus and also at Warren Street. The latter is said to have got away after a premature detonation. This may explain the gunshots heard on the platform at Warren Street and a witness account of an exploding rucksack in the hands of a young man and smoke. People fled the carriage in panic. Device now described as a nail bomb. Streets around Warren Street are cordoned off. Buildings evacuated around Oval. Three main Tube lines have just been closed.

A bomb that basically shoots nails/various metals in all directions...can cause serious injuries and i suppose it's pretty easy for a terrorist to make one of 'em

If it is another attack, I think they're still showing they can still be a threat even after the increased security.

Are people really this stupid when it comes to bombs??? ;)

You need lots of shrapnel to make your killing device uber-lethal.

Suicide terrorists carry out second bombing rampage in central London Thursday, June 21. They have blown up three underground trains and a bus.

July 21, 2005, 4:29 PM (GMT+02:00)

Three Tube stations, Warren Street, Shepherd?s Bush and Oval, were evacuated, five main lines suspended. The bus was in the east London district of Hackney.

Special chemical warfare units descended on Warren Street Station where a witness earlier reported an exploding rucksack in the hands of a young man on an incoming train and strange-smelling smoke. Police suggest he may be a suicide bomber who got away after a premature detonation. Later, armed police entered University College Hospital and cordoned it off.

Buildings around Oval have been evacuated.

Central Londoners were asked to switch off their cell phones. Prime minister Toney Blair has cancelled all his engagements

You would think by now that they would be actively searching the bags of suspicious people. But, I guess not, everyone is too touchy, feely these days to actually hurt someones feelings.

If I lived in London, New York, Moscow, etc... and saw a Middle Eastern man on a train with a large bag, you better believe I would be moving to the other side of the train. Call me racist if you want, I just call it intelligent.

Plus, there is no excuse for someone not taking this guy down.
