Who ever said M&M's had a different flavor other than chocolate?

Fruit Loops markets itself with "Fruity Flavors". M&M's does not.

I'm not getting the analogy here.

true story: I had a friend who could tell the blue ones apart from the rest in a blind taste test

I think there was something going on with the texture, but I'm not sure.

Did he carry them in a baggie and wore mittens with a wool cap?

that's not inaccurate, though. The flavoring extract that is used for these would be some amalgam of various "fruit-like" tastes--probably something that evokes sweet and citrus.

so, you get multiple flavors in one taste, dispersed among all the loops. The people that design and market this kind of crap are pretty smart. Of course they knew that our brain plays funny tricks with color and taste, and they've known it for a very long time.

truer story: Your friend peeked under the blindfold because of the gap between his nose and cheeks.

Absolutely, Fruit Loops are child's play compared to Cap'n Crunch. You had to time it perfectly between being soggy enough not to bore a hole to your brain vs. mush.

Yep, and when you did time it just right, man was that good.

No. I reject your reality and substitute my own. Fruit loops are made from real fruits and any good monkey can taste the difference between the snozberry and the dingleberries.
