I still watch and enjoy it. The narrator/writers annoy the crap out of me with all the Knights Templar BS, but otherwise I love a good treasure hunt. It's pretty clear to all that they'll never make back their money, but I really don't think it matters anymore. History Channel is likely footing the bill anyway. It's really a unique opportunity to make an unlimited budget search of a historical location to find who knows what. Are they going to find a bunch of treasure? Slim chance, but it's still fun to watch.

Been a few seasons since I watched. How's everyone's on-camera appearance nowadays? Are they looking more stylish and less like schlubs now? Is the show now edited so they don't appear half-hearted and bemused when forced to over-dramatize group discussions?

I used to watch it for the history aspect, but it got long in the tooth. Must be popular as there’s now spinoff shows.
