I think this is going to be an ongoing problem for a long time there. Not only are the remnants of Hussiens Regime going to continue to commit such acts but also the Religious Whackos there looking for Martyrdom (and not necessarily Iraqi's)

Picture an American city like New York, where terrorists are just dying to infiltrate to bomb Americans.

Now picture Baghdad, that's held by Americans in a foreign country. It's going to be so easy for terrorists to infiltrate. I can imagine constant terrorist acts as long as we are there.

That's why I do not blame Israel for their actions against terrorists. It may seem harsh to us, but they are doing what it takes for their own safety. If that means bulldozing a camp that you know is breeding terrorists, so be it.

But isn't that like squeezing a water balloon? It's just going to push the terrorists to another location.

What needs to be done, imo, is put the leaders of every country into a room and someone go around beating the crap out of them all with a clue stick.

I think children should decide the peace process. Hatred is learned and children harbor no ill will towards other children (assuming they've not already been brainwashed into something like the Baath party youth group).

Billions of people around the world won't remember this, but they will never forget what they saw yesterday.

All the more reason to rebuild and hand the reins over to them quickly while still making every possible effort to make sure they will flourish. We should not waste this golden opportunity. The money is there in the oil, we need to create world class educational and medical facilities, as well as establishing laws that protect everyone equally and secure their basic rights and freedom. I want Iraq to be the envy of every Arab in the world for a variety of reasons, the quality of life, the freedom of religion, the right to self determination, the right to self rule. What better way to change the way we are viewed there than to leave behind us a jewel of liberty, prosperity, and freedom.

In that case I change my mind, send the troops home and nuke them back to third world status....;)
