Considering how many of the trained army are really insurgents/terrorists who will desert or fight against the US troops or other Iraqi troops, it's not a surprise at all.

They have infiltrated every level of the government and the military. Look at what's going on in Basra for a prime example!

The militias rule the country. It's well beyond time for the US to leave. Leave the mess to the Iraqis to clean up and fight amongst themselves over.

They won't do sh*t. If they even think about approaching Iraqi border with an army we'll cut them up with daisy cutters. Meanwhile we actually get to elminate the real threat, the number one sponsor of terror since at least 1979 according to State dept, Irans Nuclear ambitions. Which we can't do right now with our troops in range of all irans missles and surrounded sympathetic Iraqi Shi'a who would become very un-sympathetic should we start bombing thier brothers in Iran.

From what I've heard, the troops are FURIOUS in Iraq. They want some serious payback. Apparently the corpses were mutiliated in various ways (genitals put into mouth, beheaded, eyes gouged out)

Probably invade and kick the crap out of the Iraqi army...mostly because we've been doing a piss poor job training them. If we had been on the ball from the beginning, the troops could be home right now.

Sen. Boxer said tonight, during the Iraq debate, that one of those killed had told his parents that they had been shot at before by Iraqi security forces but was told to keep quiet!
