Whats the best way to break in a new baseball mit and what should I put on it? I remember using saddle soap in the past, any ideas.

I just keep using it. i really do not like the other methods of breaking in b/c they usually do not feel right after.

i swear by shaving cream (regular creamy). the residue goes away quickly and it conditions it beautifully.

Shaving cream, tie it up with a ball inside and put it under your mattress, etc. etc.

Lots & lots of use; sleep with it. If you play with it for a week, then forget about it for two, it'll be ruined forever.

shaving cream always worked well for me anytime I got a glove. are you actually a catcher? now that or a 1st baseman's glove are the only ones technically allowed to be called a mitt because they don't have separate holes for each finger? I played 1st base, but I couldn't call it a mitt. drove me crazy when others called a glove a mitt.

It's just a regular infielders glove, but you guys say shaving cream??? I'll give that a shot.
