The kind of change you want Obama to get done will not happen if he brings in complete outsiders who don't understand how Washington worked. He'll get the best results with a mixed cabinet of old and new, which is what he's doing.

Hillary is probably the most powerful senator now. Why would she give that up to be Sec. of State? I would pick John Kerry, not the open borders advocate Richardson.

Proven Loser john Kerry?

Nothing on CNN except that she is under consideration, but there are concerns about Bill being baggage.

baggage? i think bill is still pretty popular compare to HRC... HRC is a really polarizing figure... she brings out a lot of extreme love and hate on both sides.

It has to do with his involvement in international fundraising for his charity, as well as business dealings. Politico has a good article on it. Not so much about skeletons in the closet as about conflicts of interest.

I haven't read all the posts, so maybe it's already been said, but here goes.

I think she's the wrong choice for one big reason.

One of the things Obama wants to accomplish is better relations with the rest of the world and the ME in particular. I think it's a great goal and feel that's in an important one to try to achieve.

She's the wrong choice because of the prevailing attitude in the ME of women being second class citizens. She will be dismissed for being a woman and not respected. For the next four years, we want a man in the job.

So, to gain world support, we should treat a woman as a second class citizen?

I adamantly oppose this view.

You know, I knew someone was going to completely misunderstand my post. Congratulations - you're it. Did you even read it?
