He's definitely an amateur.

Hmmm. I'm putting on my tinfoil hat:

Pakistan is one of the countries where lots of brown people live, that also shares a border with Afghanistan. In fact they have a border dispute in the "Kashmir" region - possibly where we lost track of Bin Laden (should he actually exist). Mayhaps this is an effort to turn public opinion away from the oil slick in the Gulf and to redirect anger towards this new group of brown people?

The bomber lived for quite a while in Bridgeport, CT and the papers here have published quite a bit of his background. Frankly, he sounded like a pretty normal guy (as nearly all his neighbors said). Started college in the Wash, DC area, transferred to U of Bridgeport, got his bachelors and masters there. Married, had two young daughters, got a job as an entry level peon in a financial firm, bought a small suburban house. Became a naturalized citizen in April, 2009, quit job June, 2009. Stopped paying mortgage, house went into foreclosure. Moved wife and kids to Pakistan (apparently to live with his family-his father is a big shot in the Air Force there. He came back alone in Feb, bought SUV off craigslist for his bomb.

I'm still surprised (and grateful) how incompetent his bombmaking was since it appears he had some training in Pakistan.

Here's the link to the article about him:

I'd like to know if he was "normal", then what is it that turned him?

Is his family safe in Pakistan, or used as leverage to force him to do this? How active was he in the Muslim community, particularly any mosques he visited in the United States?

I want his connections found.

All, the Internet, where all women are judged on their looks! I will admit she is NOT what I envision when I think of air traffic controllers (which is almost never.)

Okay, I give up pretending to not be a pig. She's pretty cute even making a face.

The problem I have with that is that Judaism or Christianity is hardly religions of peace either.
Look at the long term track records and all three would gag a maggot.

Oh for sure, the last hundred years of inquisitions and crusades have really taken their toll on the population. Just last week I was reading about some Christians that were suicide bombing marketplaces, and stoning women to death, oh, um. nvm.

Obviously Christians have in the past done their fair share of damage, but guess what, this isn't 1150, it's 2010. Even as an agnostic comparing modern Christianity to "modern" Islam" is so intellectually dishonest it's sad.

Honestly, most of the ATC women that I work with are pretty attractive.
