Well Hank was warned so they didn't totally blindside him. I assume the bag man in Gus's employ warned him.

Gale is kind of annoying and Walter obviously doesn't want him getting too good at cooking his formula since he could end up out of the picture. Getting Jesse back in neutralizes him as a threat, saves Hank, assuages his own guilt, and scores him major points with Skyler.

Even still, walk right up to the driver's window, pop pop pop, done. Hank just sat there like a tool. It's just kind of ridiculous how they built these two up to be so amazing and they get taken out by the James Bond cliche.

I don't understand why Walt gives a shit anymore about Skyler or Hank. He clearly never cared for Hank and Skyler is such an absolute wise and beautiful woman that in the past episodes cheated on him and asked for a divorce that it's hard to imagine that he really has any feelings for her left. Not to mention Hank deserves everything coming to him. He walked into someone's house and beat the living fuck out of them.

It was a revenge killing and personal (and consequently sloppy), hence why the other twin went to get the axe instead of finishing Hank right there.

Walt still has some inner core of guilt or conscience since his actions are largely responsible for Hank's/Jesse's present situations. He clearly still cares for Skyler even though he can't be with her. Eventually she might pull her head out of her ass.

It was kind of akin to him tying Hank to a giant slab and setting a really slow moving lazer to kill him. :p

I wonder if the motivation for saving Hank by Gustavo is a setup for Hank helping keep this operation running.

Possible, though Gus found the whole idea of the revenge killing distasteful and potentially very harmful to his business/position. He was the one who came up with the idea for the twins to hit Hank then warned Hank what was coming in order to take them out of the picture.

I think Gale is too minor of a character to have any impact on the operation, could be wrong though.

Fantastic episode, the most annoying part about it was that Hank sat around like a dumb shit waiting around after being warned. Also he's probably gonna think it was Pinkman who wanted revenge and I wonder how that will play out.

Juan is not going to put up with what happened so I think Gustavo has to change the way he operates regardless at this point. It will be interesting to see what happens. I had secretly hoped that the twins would survive long enough to kill Jessie. :p

A good finale would have been some combination of the twins getting hank + walt letting saul take jesse out

oh, and whoever the actor is that plays jesse, was unbearable in this episode. his little monologue/rants in the hospital were fucking terrible ugh

Um, Aaron Paul was nominated for an Emmy last year, and probably will again this year. His little "rant" was actually really amazing acting going on.

I agree that Hank (and the rest of the FBI) is going to think that Jesse had something to do with the hit, unless they catch on that the twins are cousins of Tuco. Still, Hank is going to wonder why Jesse decided not to press charges...

Anyways, that episode was one of the most intense and easily the best I've seen so far this season.

lol ok I was giving you guys the benefit of the doubt, but I just rewatched the scene and it is horrible, you guys are crazy. it didn't help that the actual dialogue was stupid as hell, but that was one shitty scene

There's no way Hank is going to think Jesse had anything to do with it. They'll be able to identify the guys and connect them back to the cartel. Put 2 & 2 together and you come up with Tuco's killing.

Besides, I think Hank knows that Jesse isn't well enough connected or enough of a serious player in the drug trade to have pull like that.

I agree, that part sucked. Jesse is such a tool.

But that scene was going to be ugly no matter what.

I really thought Walt's assistant was going to learn everything and then the cartel was going to try and ice Walt.

Yeah it should be pretty easy for DEA to identify the twins. Back when they crossed the border in the back of the farm truck, the guy saw the skulls on the tips of their boots and freaked out. I think their notoriety precedes them.

Are we sure that the twin who got crushed between the cars is actually dead?

And when Jesse was chewing out Walt in the hospital, I was hoping Walt would totally lose it, tell the whiny bitch to STFU, and just rip him a new asshole for being so stupid as to lead DEA straight to their RV, and then being so clueless that he would even dream about getting another RV with DEA all over him now. For that matter, I'm not sure how Jesse is going to be able to travel to and from the laundry/meth lab without compromising the location or Walt.

I was lmao at Jesse ranting in the hospital. As if that scrawny guy could ever harm Hank. Maybe it was not supposed to be funny though.
