Amazing how many Dems are Steven Bannon supporters. "Burn it all down!"

Yeah I didn't agree with his politics and overthrowing democracy but I'm thinking of voting for DeSantis and the GOP this time because I'm tired of Biden/ Pelosi/ Manchin/ Sinema who want America to be like what it was 70 years ago.

We need younger leaders who have newer ideas. And we need to start again with a new system rather than one that's rotten from the core.

It's a fun thought experiment but what you are proposing would be disastrous, wars would break out pretty quickly and millions would die.
The new nation States would be able to freely deal with nations across the world, form treaties enter wars do whatever.
Territorial disputes will quickly turn up...
I could write what would happen but if I'm going to go through that effort...I'm going to demand $$$$.

If I recall some American history correctly, the rivalry between Ohio and Michigan that occurred over some land claims that was called the "Toledo War" (mid-1800's?) is still fresh in the minds of both state's peoples of which could ignite what you're mentioning. As well, I'm sure there are other scores to settle between neighboring states that could result in clashes with varying degrees of severity.

Actually, lets merge all the countries into one world mega government with one military that has space ships.

We will call it "Star Fleet".

LOL nice pun but FAIL.

If you watch DS9 star systems (countries) are allied for a common defense (NATO) but their politics are very much local. Bajor is an agricultural world and cares only about its profits.

Well, I don't know what the answer is but we can not continue on as we currently are or... we will have nothing left that resembles what the founding fathers founded. I think we are leaning towards a civil war with dividing the country into two portions, the sane vs the insane. America, vs Trump world. One side right and the other side really really wrong.

Like with watching the Sunday morning news shows today, one reporter interviewing some Trump supported asking the supporter what he thought of Jan 6th? The Trump guy said WELL, NO ONE WAS HURT. JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS. WAS NOT AN INSURRECTION. And the reporter had to play video from her cell phone showing the cops being beaten by the Trumpies. The Trump supporter simply brushed it off as NO BIG DEAL. Obvious a guy caught up in THE CULT. Only a Trump cult member would react like THAT to video evidence and then still denying what took place on Jan 6th.

Right there, is why we need to have either two America's via civil war, or just scrap the whole damn thing and start over from the beginning. But to continue on as we are now, especially knowing that Donald Trump will want to be president AGAIN come 2024, to continue on and to allow THAT is not an option. We simply can not continue on as a nation, as a united states of ANYTHING with Donald Trump as president. THAT is just not going to happen, P.E.R.I.O.D !!!
WE will evolve into civil war before a second Trump presidency is allowed to happen.

Too many people have died and sacrificed for this country to let it go full bore banana republic where elections don't matter. I expect we'll see dead demagogues and holy rollers before we turn into a Gilead. I'll take StarTrek over Handmaid's Tale any day of the week. If you want the opposite, you're in a cult.

National unity might have to ride low for awhile until enough boomers are gone, sorry to say, but the US breaking up helps no one but Putin and the CCP.

So that's it, just break up the country and let everything sort itself out. The world as we know it outside our borders will remain the same right? No danger there, just all fine and dandy with allowing China to set the terms for well, everything? Who will subsidize red states? What happens to the military? The entire question is for people who don't like to think.

Relocate to a state more in line with your priorities if necessary, but this 'make the world order crash because I'm a talk radio outrage addict' idea needs to fuck off. If this country isn't fascist enough for you, there are other options.

The Cisqo is of Bajor. He is linear and trys to control the game. But his Pah is strong.

Breaking up the country would be way worse than the many other options that are available and are actually tenable.

Strong Federalism. Let Blue States become fully Blue States, and let Red States become fully Red States.

There's a chance that if Red Staters get the Red State policies they vote for, they ain't going to like it much. Maybe if they aren't protected by Blue State policies, they might abandon the fascists. Or maybe not. But it's a chance.

This thread is like the perfect place for me to drop this link off. If you haven't read it before, do it. It takes 4 minutes. If you have read it in the past, re-read it.

It's a solid plan.
And it was written immediately after the 2020 election.
How have things gone since our "victory"?

It is shocking when millions of Americans buy into this crap. People like Trump "use it" as a control mechanism, but it takes ignorance to buy into it, to believe in it. Trump knows his people. He knows how to play them. I cannot imagine the kind of world they envision for themselves, and want to force onto everyone else, but I want no part of it.
And the way they pervert it all, to call shitting on the US constitution as "patriotism", to call insurrections as "patriotism", and to call those who instigate such atrocities as "patriots".
Donald Trump a patriot?

Draft dogging, prostitute loving, tax dogging, Jeffery Epstein loving, Putin loving, pedophile loving Donald Trump as a patriot?
I'm not buying it, however millions of Americans "are" buying into it.
Civil war time, people.... Civil war.

You had me until you mentioned Trump. Do you think any of this has anything to do with Trump in the grand scheme of things? It doesn't... Trump just exposed "the problem" (see my next point - He's controlled chaos) that was hidden in the woodwork. Also, good job glorifying your side and demonizing the other side. And I'm sure you believe your own insanity had nothing to do with creating the insanity of the other side? You sir, are the problem... Open your eyes. Both sides are equally responsible for this mess. Hint: Calling the other side insane, animals, etc is what leads to civil war. And you are lapping it up like the good lap dog you are...

Now read my next response to Kage...

It's already been there... You just haven't figured it out yet... You see, on one side you have a retard like Trump... On the other side another retard like Biden. Who are we voting for? Seriously, these are the two men to lead our country? Who picked these jokers? The parties? I can walk through my neighborhood and pick more capable candidates. I'm sure you can too... Now, these guys are picked by someone. Who? Delegates? I have a friend who is in politics and goes to the party's events. He said free thought, questioning, debating is not allowed. They snuff out anybody who isn't toting the line of who they already picked well in advance. Who's picking them though? Secret men in secret meetings.

No different than pre-scripted pro-wrestling playing to a crowd. And boy, people gobble that shit up and love it.

Us fighting and dividing our country is exactly in the script. Keep playing your part fools.

Anybody that puts Biden and Trump in the same bucket is a fucking disingenuous prick not ready for any honest conversation. Useless.

The answer is to break up the US, but not into 50 independent states.

2-3 separate areas, depending if the east coast and west coast can come into an agreement, especially with a unique trade and travel agreement with Canada.

I remember a North-South 3 partition[iirc] of US-Canada based upon common cultural and other commonalities that some dude predicted[maybe] would become Nations. Pretty sure he mentioned this century as well. It made a lot of sense, but I'd rather be as is. Both Coasts would form 2 with some inland States/Provinces. The third nation would be the Plains/Prairies. It might solve a lot of issues, but it might worsen others. Seems like a constant war risk though.

Always nice to hear the blind tell others to open their eyes. The BothSides Dumbfuck routine is clearly your favorite dance, just look at you go!

So pathetic it made me smile, so thanks for that.

Devolving into North Korea and or Afghanistan also presents a constant "war" risk. Damned if you do.... damned if you don't.
At least with a civil split, you can pin your hopes to the idea that one of our controlling parties is not insane....
Personally I'm not so sure about that. But hope does have a certain allure to it. Even if it's a fool's hope.

Better than nothing. And it's pretty easy to imagine that attempting to form Blue States is better than what awaits us if we do nothing?

I just realized this may never happen unless we are "attacked" by an interstellar adversary.

Yes and no. With the EU and Asian country partnerships. Thinking CANZUK still a possibility. Only matter of time nationalists sentiment goes away
