All the States will have a common currency, the USD.
(Much like the EU/Europe has the Euro.)

Requires the President, 2/3 of Congress, and 2/3 (3/4??) of States to agree.
Just like passing an Amendment to the Constitution.

Yep way beyond time to have a national divorce before we have an uncivil war.

And a good idea would be to limit federal income tax to 10% which can only be spent on national defense. Nothing else. Let other states figure out what their own priorities are.

Time to go be happy and just be concerned with our local politics than what someone else is doing.

Yeah, lets have the southern states re-implement slavery! :coldsweat:

Anyone with any common sense would know by now.. it's time to leave those shitholes states.

If illegal immigrants are willing to cross oceans and deserts to walk across a border.. there's no excuse for Americans to not move to a state with common sense laws.

We create what we fear. What we fear is to know what we really feel. Nothing brings us closer to what we feel than the experience of external stress. We are repelled by and fear stress. Social media and social competitiveness make it difficult for people to feel secure. Everybody is on edge and the result is paranoid compulsive thinking looking for a way out. The only thing different about the world today from the world of our past more innocent times is the state of consciousness in which we perceive it. The answers are not out there in the world but in self realization. Only one person can be saved, you, and the states do not have to become separate countries for you to do it. Relax and be happy.

So that's it, just break up the country and let everything sort itself out. The world as we know it outside our borders will remain the same right? No danger there, just all fine and dandy with allowing China to set the terms for well, everything? Who will subsidize red states? What happens to the military? The entire question is for people who don't like to think.

Relocate to a state more in line with your priorities if necessary, but this 'make the world order crash because I'm a talk radio outrage addict' idea needs to fuck off. If this country isn't fascist enough for you, there are other options.

The words chosen to describe this are more radical than is necessary in order to weaponize federalism.
It is not wanted, but it may be required of us. The idea is to remain one nation, with more power yielded to the states.

You won't get a single state splintering off the union, much less 50. None of them have the will or energy to take care of all the problems inherent in total political autonomy.
yeah, cuz that worked so fucking great for eastern europe.
Well, being puppets of the Kremlin was just too awful, when the chance presented itself, they declared their divorce. The smart ones joined NATO if at all possible.

Maybe start with a voting system that ensures a greater plurality in each state?

Are the voting laws for the local government in a state constitutional or could they be changed individually?

It seems to me, with more power yielded to the states, some of those states will partner up and try to beat and flog the federal gov't into a subservient entity that gives them permanent political advantage over the other states. Sort'a like what seems to be the plan the Republican party is operating under at this very moment.

It's a fun thought experiment but what you are proposing would be disastrous, wars would break out pretty quickly and millions would die.
The new nation States would be able to freely deal with nations across the world, form treaties enter wars do whatever.
Territorial disputes will quickly turn up...
I could write what would happen but if I'm going to go through that effort...I'm going to demand $$$$.

Few more elections where the results are not accepted and... it may turn out that way regardless.
And I'm not sure how we restore institutional trust once it has been broken.
As in... we are currently going off that cliff and there are no brakes. Are there?

At least permitting more of a Blue State / Red State concept could allow trust in one's own faction / party to hold the fragmented pieces together, maybe....

Well why should we accept a rigged electoral college and gerrymandered house anyways?

We clearly have a majority.

You really have to wonder why and you come to the conclusion of:

These people aren't radicals.. they're just ahead of the curve.

Amazing how many Dems are Steven Bannon supporters. "Burn it all down!"
