Brazil Vs Concerts

I know I am stupid but here is my situation.

My mom is going to brazil in august for a Jewelry convention. She has invited me to come along. It would be a week in brazil, going all around looking at jewelry and stuff but probably also some sites, and good food. She just invited me.

During that week I also have tickets to a festival...Lollapalooza which will be totally awesome. I have an unhealthy obsession with concerts, and they truly make me happy.

Do i go to brazil where I have never been and would be pretty much free for me, but then have to hang out with my mom all day where I will prob be the youngest one in the crowd by a good 10 years, or party and see Daft Punk a band I have always dreamed of seeing.


I know I know brazil...just want some people to talk sense into me.
 
Brazilian women and a new country to explore vs a bunch of stinky people shoulder to shoulder and a headache within the first hour. Tough call.
 
Go to Brazil. Traveling the world is awesome, and this is one place you can add to your travel resume.

 
You'll get another chance to go to a concert, several of them.
I've never had an invite to Brasil like the one you have. If you skip that you will regret it.
 
As a fan of seizing the day, I would normally say "Go to Brazil" hands down. But if you're really torn, I say do that which would be harder to replicate in the future. Brazil will be Brazil for quite some time. Lollapalooza and/or Daft Punk might not occur again.

However, I see that you would also be going to Brazil with your moms, so that changes things. You might not get that unique chance again, and someday you will regret not going to see an exotic country with your mother.

So, in conclusion, it looks like I've absolutely not helped at all.

Go to brazil, there will be another lollapalooza. Make sure you get yer visa =) I went to Sao Paulo and it was totally worth it. Wish I went to Rio instead tho.
 
This year's lolla lineup sucks IMO...I would go to Brazil

I understand your urge to see Daft Punk but I can't imagine that it would be the best venue. Last year they did a terrible job of preventing the sound from each stage from overlapping-- I wouldn't expect an anywhere near as epic experience as the one you would've had at coachella last year. They'll play other shows.

well right now i have tickets to see daft punk in NYC on the 9th. I dont know about the touring again. They really don't come around often, and they might brake up.
