In terms of Brazil and Uruguay, it never got that bad, but now we have 3 nations endorsing a Palestinians State in one week, and now that the Obama Israeli Palestinian peace talks appear to be on the verge of failure, there may be a large number of nations following the Brazil lead. I would not be at all surprised to see another 30 + nations taking the Brazil position by the end of the year. Its not an act of war or aggression against Israel to join in on what may amount to an unstoppable bandwagon. Once some mid-east and EU members joint in, that bandwagon will shift into second gear, and thereafter may become an unstoppable force.

Some history:
The Palestinian Declaration of Independence[1] was adopted by the Palestinian National Council, the legislative body of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), in Algiers on 15 November 1988

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_Declaration_of_Independence#cite_note-16 As a result of the declaration, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) convened, inviting Yasser Arafat, Chairman of the PLO to give an address. An UNGA resolution was adopted "acknowledging the proclamation of the State of Palestine by the Palestine National Council on 15 November 1988," and it was further decided that "the designation 'Palestine' should be used in place of the designation 'Palestine Liberation Organization' in the United Nations system." One hundred and four states voted for this resolution, forty-four abstained, and two - the United States and Israel - voted against.[18] By mid-December, 75 states had recognized Palestine, rising to 93 states by February 1989.[19]
