Brand new NF7-S Rev.2 won't POST at 200 FSB?!?

I am just setting it up now and when I set the FSB to 200 it reboots to the "Saving BIOS Settings" screen then it reboots again to a no-POST. I am also using it with 2 brand new sticks of Mushkin PC3500 Level 1. HELP!!!!

Be sure you aren't setting your multiplier too high. A high FSB with a high multiplier might be trying to push the CPU past its limits.

Only thing I can think of at the moment.

Nope that aint it. Guess once I get windows installed i'll try to update the BIOS and try again...then maybe play with the memory.

Anyone else with an NF7-S have this problem?

[*]What are you system specs?
[*]What have you tried so far?
[*]Try the memory in slots 1 & 3, then 2 & 3
[*]Does it POST at a lower FSB?

you aint really givin ur much info. what multi are you using?? what 15x200??? what cpu is it??? is it a pally, a tbredA, tbredB, barton, thorton, applebred. relax your mem timing so you know its not mem for sure. raise your chipset voltage .1 . what is your voltages for cpu??

Sorry for the lack of info and thanks for the responses...i actually have bigger problems now like not being able to access my admin files on the old HDD...which is really, really bad.

Anyhoo it is running fine @ 166x12. At 200x10 there was no-POST and had to clear the CMOS to POST. I have not really tried anything yet since I am fighting to get access to my old files first and foremost before I can even start worrying about the FSB...guess this thread was a bit premature. I have 2x512 in slots 3 and 2. I will try yanking one when I get this other mess sorted out.

Very important lesson to be learned from this- like backing up important files that can be accessable.

Sounds like you will be learning how to take ownership real soon.

Everything was backed up via ghost onto another HDD...unfortunately that problem is the same with both HDD's!!! I never anticipated that I would be forbidden from accessing my own files on a working HDD. MS is such a bunch of asstards.

Well I got around it anyway...somehow got the old drive to work as the primary and booted into the old XP install. Now I need to get my network situation straightened out. WHAT A FRIGGIN NIGHTMARE install this has been!!

Now I can't seem to access my DNS server....works on every other computer on this LAN set to "Automatically Detect DNS" but no...not this one. Bloody hell.

Ok well oddly enough after running the system at 166 for about a day it now seems ok with 200 FSB...for no reason. Nothing else has changed hardware-wise. Initially no-POST at 200... kookey.
