Brand New LG 1200 Flip Phone FAR with minutes!

I ordered the phone on April 29 and it came yesterday via UPS ground (they used a next day air box). Got activated today. Going to send out rebate soon. Hope it will come...

Those of you who worry about the coverage area, talk to STI mobile. They should be very helpful. Do not count on the coverage map at STImobile homepage. My zip code was no where to be found in their map. However, I was able to obtain a local number and start using it right now.

My phone actually contains one dollar balance even before I fill the card. So, will they still charge me 5$ for activation? Any comment on that?


Another thing acutally confuses me is the expiration of calling card. The STI rep did tell me that minutes expires in three month once you start to use it. Even though Cheapphonecards says it never expires as long as you make a call every 60 days. Any boday has any idea?

I looked at my phone. It looks like it's in perfect condition, and I had no problems activating it. Only problem is the phone gets very warm, even for short calls. I don't think it's a serious problem, but it sounds like bad design. We'll see if the rebate comes through....

The rate disclaimer means that your first minute is really less than a minute of talk time. I don't believe you are charged for unanswered calls (someone correct me if this is wrong). I've set my phone to beep once every minute during a call.

Yes, if no one picks up the phone, you are not charged for the call.

If someone does pick up the phone, your first minute started when you first started transmission.

My phone arrived _after_ the 14 day rebate submission deadline. Mailed the support email address at CheapPhoneCards.com; and no one has ever replied.

I'll end up disputing this one with my card company. I'm very disappointed.

Mine arrived in good time to submit the rebate but we'll have to wait and see. The phone is ok - reception is reasonable in Boston, voice quality is moderately bad but useable - it's fine for my teenage son and he's happy as a clam - and I won't be too upset if he loses or breaks it. Refills are painless - cheapphonecards CS (all automated email so far) seems just fine. So far, I've got what I paid for - if the rebate arrives, I'll be more than happy.
