That is what you call "Target Fixation" even though you know you are going to hit the wall, for some reason your foot doesnt come off the pedal.

its not that fvcking hard to keep a vehicle moving in a straight line...

Take my word for it, when you have that much torgque, it is.

Sad... What exactly happened there? It looked like he threw it in gear and lost control because he was giving the rear wheels too much torque. Pretty easy to do...if you've never driven a car before. You'd expect him to realize he wasn't going anywhere and lay off the accelerator a little.

no it isn't...i've driven a charger that belonged to my uncle with a blower...probably 500 lb ft of torque minimum...if your ass end starts to get away from you you just let off the gas...not rocket science, really

now if he was cornering and lost it thats a different story...but when you're going in a straight line if you hit a wall at 45-50mph you're a dumbass

Yup, exactly what happened. Gave too much torque, the wheels starting spinning and the car spun out of control.

Sorry, but that car is designed for control. You should be able to "punch it" off the line and keep it straight with minimal effort. Thousands of Ferrari drivers haven't had a problem doing such a thing, so why does this idiot make it look so difficult?

Designed for control? It's designed for control like any other vehicle on the road. A go and stop pedal and a steering wheel.

The guy was an idiot driver who doesn't know how to control a vehicle with that much power. Looks like he shfited into second and mashed the pedal down. Broke the tires loose, paniced, and never regained control.

LOL some people here have cars with more torque than that Ferrari.

Ferraris aren't the fastest cars in the world you know.

Ferrari 360 Modena:
"Max. torque 275 ft-lbs @ 4750 rpm"

My car makes 295 ft-lbs @ 3600 rpm

...and I have a very light rear end, and reletively butter like tires.

The guy is an idiot driver period. The car comes with traction control AFAIK so he probably turned it off because he's one of those guy that like burnouts and donuts.

They're designed for control from the ground up. They are much more then a performance engine and a steering wheel and brake. lol. But yes, this driver couldn't control the vehicle. But what I'm saying is this is driver error and inexperience.

what a d1ck

im gonna say this again.....the normal driving licence you aquire by driving like a nun in a cereal box car just isnt enough to entitle you to the keys of a car of likes of ferrari, porsche, lamborghini, etc etc

if you want to drive and have cars that have serious power and speed, then i really think there should be some kind of advanced licence you need to have before you can buy. almost like a disclaimer saying that you have had sufficient training to be able handle such a car safely, and that it is fine to let you on the road in supercar. if it all goes pear shapped you have the skills to handle it.

and to be fair if u can afford such a car....whats a few extra advance driving lessons?

i reckon this would stop idiotic driving to an extent. wouldnt let inept people behind the wheel of serious cars.

i remember a thread a while back about a crashed prosche carrera GT, brand new car, and the guy showing off ran out of skill....turned the traction control off....a big no no if you arent capable of handling all 600BHP. this would stop beautiful and rare cars gettin trashed, and stop people getting hurt in accidents

yeah... seems like o/p has no idea what he's talking about. All you need to do is clutch it and the rear wheels will grab traction. The dumbfvck in the video had the car at WOT while on the grass - he basically sped up towards the wall.

amongs the cars that i owned was a 300hp AWD Talon and that thing would drift like no other when you hit 4-5K.

Why do so many people care if someone trashes a car they'll never be able to afford anyway? 😕

i think that guy is awesome. if he's rich enough to smash that car and still be waving his hands around in joy more power to him.

Back in 83 when I was in high school we put a smallblock chev with a .0030 overbore, camelback heads and performance edelbrock cam & holley carb into a 76 AMC Gremlin. That thing had to have been the quickest accelerating car I've ever personally driven. We called it the "Grem Reaper". It was dyno'd at 315 horses. The original engine was a 232 inline 6 if I recall correctly.

I wouldn't put it past the guy that this happened. A car with that much power will start swaying at the slightest touch of the pedal (same thing happens with the Viper). He obviously decided that he'd go as fast as he can in as little time as possible once he got the car, otherwise he would've known the limits of a powerful vehicle.

Just blame this to another inexperienced driver.
