I got this new Thermaltake Armor Case and now 1/2 my games sound dont work. Example:

GTA SA: Music works, Voices Dont, and Button Sounds Dont work

Other games follow this example. Now I do have a cheap 20$ Sound Blaster Audigy.. but my computer only see's this sound card.. before there was two options for sound playback... Idk if this has anything to do with it.. but I'd like to be able to hear everything again. Thanks yall

That would be my guess. I did this exact same thing setting up my new system yesterday and was scratching my head like an idiot when some sounds would play and others wouldn't.

Are you using headset? If so, your headset is broken or maybe even your speakers. I just got this problem last night and i knew it was my headset cause it works fine with speakers.

Yes. I have 5.1 surround and its enabled for such a function. I also switched out the Surround Sound for some stereo speakers and set it to '2 speakers' or w/e.. and the same thing happened.

Could it be the on-board sound that may not have been plugged in correctly? I thought I connected it correctly, but i may be wrong.. could that cause such a problem?

usually you don't plug in onboard sound for 5.1 outputs

hmmm.. alright yall. i just cant help but think something got messed up in the transfering from one case to another.. (ex: gtasa worked perfectly fine before, and now i have that sound issue)
