Brand new 2000 Cobra R

Damn. Nice. I didn't know there were only 300 made. I've seen a Cobra just this past weekend, and have seen others on occasion. I would have never thought they were worth this much. Not sure if the Cobra was an "R" version though.

I wish it were better weather, I was driving my fathers SRT8 300c when I saw him. I would have loved to egg him on.

The 2000 Cobra R was a purpose built race car. I don't think they were even sold to private owners "officially" anyway.

It's not worth $70k and probably won't sell, that's just what the guy thinks he's going to sell it for. Yay Barrett Jackson mentality.

$50k tops.

You would know if it was an R, and there would be no "egging" in your Dad's car (who effing cares pal?) nor your torque-less wonder.

If it was a '00R or a '03/'04 you would have been destroyed even if they were stock.

'99/'01 hard to say, depends if modded, dig vs roll, etc. SRT8 should be about 0.50 sec quicker in the 1/4 over a stock 99/01 Cobra (3-5 car lengths in a 1/4 mi dig). But 300Cs are heavy luxary cars with big engines, they aren't stop light racers, and I don't know anyone who has any kind of Cobra and keeps it stock 🙂

I've seen a bunch of clones at car shows. The engine can be had from Ford (or at least it was at one point). I've seen two real ones in person.

These are factory race cars, not street cars. They are unrelated to the other Cobra models. They have a single seat, no interior, full cage, etc.

They are interesting but I always thought they were overpriced for what they are, and I'm a huge mustang fan.

70k for a 11 mile "R" it wills sell and sell fast I predict.

That is now a collectors car and with no miles and mint condition someone will buy it for that.

That one has both front seats. I dont see much of a cage anywhere either, and the interior seems to be intact too :\

I like the tards thinking the person that buys this is contemplating it as a daily driver or as "this" vs "that".

Also the 00' Cobra R and a 300C SRT8 are close enough that it'd be anyone's race on the street...either of these cars losing to the better driver that can get the power to the ground.

yup..

the 2000 "R" was nothing that awesome technology wise except the rareness of the car.

the real Cobra's debuted in 2003 with the Terminator and those would indeed stomp a mudhole in a 300C SRT8 stock. and Those evolved into the modern GT500s we have now.

The engine is just a 5.4, but that intake is unique to production 00R cars, you can not and will not find one unless someone is parting out a real 00R. If Ford has any extras they aren't selling them without a 00R vin and a core of the original.
