I'd like to collect some new brain teasers, so post you're favourite ones!

So let's start with this good old one:

A surgeon must immediately perform a surgery on three patients. Unfortunately, the hospital only has two pairs of latex gloves in stock and the surgeon can't wait for resupply.
How is the surgeon going to perform these three surgeries with two pairs of gloves if the surgery must be perfectly sterile, meaning:
- the surgeon and his sweat must not come in contact with any patient
- the blood of one patient must not come in contact with other patients.

put on both pairs of gloves, let's call the inside pair "a" and the outer pair "b".

Perform first surgery. therefore outside of "b" is soiled.

take off "b" and perform second surgery. Therefore outside of "a" is soiled.

Turn pair "b" inside-out and put it on over "a" and perfrom third surgery.

Actually you don't have to put on "a" & "b" at the same time for the 1st surgery, but you do for the 3rd.

There are 2 flagpoles each 100 ft long. A rope is tied to the top of each flag pole. The rope is 150 ft long. The rope hangs down from the flagpoles so that the lowest point is 25 ft. off the ground.

How far apart are the 2 flagpoles?
