Dumbass.

:p

Hmmm... That was the one reason I clicked on this thread. Now that I can't be a spelling Nazi, I'll have to pace around until the boss walks by and asks what the fvckk I'm doing.

My vote goes to the first woman who said "You wannt put WHAT in my mouth!?!? um...ok" and then told all her friends about how much her man loved it.

Not many can compete with this.

I always laugh when I read about these prodigies who want to get four PhD degrees. WTF? One isn't enough? Anyway, how come we never hear about these prodigies after they are, well, prodigies? Are they all snatched-up by the .gov for super-secret research?

So true.

I went to a specialized HS in NYC and we had this family of 3 kids who were the supergeniuses of the school. They all graduated early and all went to Harvard.

I think the last I heard of them was one was a lawyer, the other went through different jobs on Wall Street and the other wasn't working.

Who knows?

Stuyvesant, perhaps? Anyway, I think the reason you never hear about prodigies after they grow up is that they are no longer newsworthy. A 10-year old that can do what a normal 20-year old can is impressive, but who cares about some 40-year old who can do what a normal 50-year old can?

Nope. Science '87.

We all thought they'd be scientists or academics when they grew up but nope. Just a bunch of schmoes like you and me trying to make a buck.

nobody is smarter than anyone else. We all have our area(s) of genius.....some are just more developed than others.

I think some people are DEFINITELY smarter than others, but yeah, it's probably going to be pretty hard to find one smartest person.

in particular areas yes.....someone can be a math and physics wiz but be a complete retard when it comes to artistic ability.

You can't be smart in artistic ability. You can be well knowledged in art theory and art history. I guess someone who knows a lot about art can be considered smart.

Also, I've met a couple engineers that have pretty good musical talent too. They can easily be "smarter" than some of the music majors at my school in that respect. The idea that everyone has a special talent should be reserved for boosting the self-esteem of 6-year-olds.

Dumb question. Everyone has different talents. I know a guy who can't read thats one of finest air-brusher? in the world. He makes about $4000 a day when doing motorcycle tanks, cars and stuff. Ted Bundy was a genious over 170 IQ you see what happend to him. Meh... it's what you make of your talents that shows how smart you are. Like Edision said 1% insperation 99% persperation.

It's a safe bet Bush is'nt in the top ten though..and he's the most powerful man on the planet..see perfect example:)

Bragging Contest: Whose the Smartest?

Not Koing, that is for sure.

As somebody else said, we all have our areas of speciality, there is no one person that can claim the crown of THE smartest person.

For a while I thought of emotional/interpersonal intelligence as different aspects of intelligence... now I'm starting to think it's more a measure of normalcy. I think the reason so many highly intelligent people (though certainly not all) have trouble in these areas is because they're outside the range of normal. They don't watch reality TV, don't want a moron leading their country, don't want to talk about what celebrity_01 wore to the <emmys/grammys/tonys/etc.ys> for three hours, etc... All of this makes it difficult to relate to other people and thus develop these aspects of character.
