UPS killed my first 6400 during shipment, Gateway wouldn't tell me when I'll get a new one, I called a new CSR last night and he said he would bump it up to a 7400 and eat the cost, then said it looked like my 6400 was finished and shipping. I got the invoice yesterday for $560 and they won't give me a break since I didn't get it when it shipped, not even refund the shipping charges! They sent the new one UPS again to boot.

A gateway manager called me today and gave me a 9GB SCSI drive for my troubles and refunded me my $60 shipping as well as shipped out the 6400 overnight today. He said it was to thank me for being civil about all the problems I had with them and UPS.

Is gozing a crock? Only a few minutes after I get their email telling me about a survey it is full. What's up with that?
 
I got both of my $50 gift checks from my Iomega Zip 250 purchase!not bad $145-30(Staples)-50-50.I would say $15 for an usb Zip 250,is a pretty good deal!

Got my 50 rebate on the Epson 980 deal that I paid 44.00 for at OM (net of 6 minus tax). Also bought in on the Epson 875DC at OM for 43 after price adjustment. Two excellent printers for 37.00 plus tax Woohoo!! Thanks fellow anandtechers!😀
 
I got a Visiontek geforce2 GTS at ubid today for $69. I know that ubid is probably a dirty word around here, so I'm posting it here.
 
i got the hp 9150i burner and a dmp 110 for 160 from staples after coupon and going into the store 2 times, it took a month beecause they were out of stock but i got it eventually.
i ebayed the mp3 for 55, took the burner back for 130 instore credit to office max then i bought a different burner to return to staples to get a staples card and i still qualify for the 100 rebate. thanks hot deals

thats 190 in cash and instore credit for 60 after rebate

now if only staples would stock the coolpix 880
 
Just received my $50 rebate from Sonic Blue for my Rio 500.😀 Purchased the bundle from Hp.com for $190, sold the burner for 120, so the Rio only cost me $20. I'm suprised this rebate came through, considering I just sent in my bundle receipt, not an actual Rio 500 receipt like others did.

But I did get my $20 rebate on the SMC barricade I bought a while back. Damn thing cost less than $50 once all is said and done. 🙂
 
DO NOT BUY PHILIPS PRODUCTS WITH REBATES!

Here is the timeline:

3/15/2001 - Purchased Philips Seismic Edge sound card and MMS2057 speakers at Circuit City
3/17/2001 - Mailed rebated forms
3/21/2001 - Philips receives rebate form
4/24/2001 - Philips Rebate Center receives rebate form
6/15/2001 - Philips Rebate Center approves rebate form and begins processing rebate
6/28/2001 - Called to check on rebate status again, and Philips says the check will be printed on 7/5/2001, and I should receive it on 7/20/2001, over four months later!!

Of course, the rebate form clearly states eight weeks...
