It would be badass if someone organized an Anandtech SC2 tournament. As long as people promised to visit the forums daily and make an effort to play their opponent, it could be fun.

I usually scoff at trailers, because they're so over the top and try so hard. Not this one. That was the best I've ever seen.

Blizzard simply can't be touched.

I actually thought it was one of their weaker trailers, voice acting was a little weak compared to the awesomeness they usually throw at you, add cliche lines and I got a meh feeling from it.

You can also get it at Kmart with a $20 coupon towards a future game purchase. That's probably the best deal at the moment if you were looking at picking up something else. They have decent sales now and then too, like Modnation Racers was just $39.99.

Anyone know how Blizzard is going to do name registration on the new battle.net? I won't be able to play SC2 until September (when I get my main gaming desktop back) but I'm considering buying SC2 early just so I can get a good charname early on. Anyone know what the name registration will be like? Anything like the beta? Can I register a name without having the game itself? Can I have a friend register a name with my email/pass, or will it be linked to CD key or something? My preferred name is only three letters, so it's gonna be tough getting it unless I get the game on/near release day, methinks...

I'm not too sure with how it works and will be interested to see as well. BUT what I think it is is

* You get to choose a name. Upto 1000 (i think) can choose the same name
* You get a number then which seperates you from others who choose the same name.

E.g. JimRayn0r.1 & JimRayn0r.997

Does anybody have any good ideas for names?

You got it pretty much right. I really hate this way too. Makes a lot of things harder than it needs to be. Atleast the way they did it in the first version of beta you could pick what the second part was. Now, it has all the downsides of that plus being even less personal. I really don't understand why they made b.net 2.0 so backwards; probably, a push to get people to use real IDs and facebook over their overly obtuse username system. What's the deal with user interfaces just continually getting worse with time? I could take a guess at some of the asinine reasons they did what they did to b.net, but I'd rather not get into it any further.

B.Net 2.0 is terrible, terrible damage to multiplayer sc. The old B.Net was SO awesome man, trolling the chat channels, making friends with easy "/f a" commands. Life was good :(

Europe in battle.net is beyond fucked.... On the SC2 beta 30% speak english 20% speak bad broken english and the rest speak their own strange language, bit of russian, bit of polish, bit of spanish, bit of german, its a mess. Oh thats if they talk at all, the ones that dont talk may or may not understand anything you say to them, they may just be antisocial who knows lol.

Ill have to play with my friends who speak english but are a bit crap at RTS.

Shortest possible distance for the SCV to run, so least time lost mining. Lowering the depot is the default thing to do so it doesn't block any of your guys - only the depots actively serving in some kind of wall need to be up.

I don't remember the whole SC story, anyone know if there's a page with all the cut scenes including the latest trailer? This has to be done before, but google-fu is failing me :)
