"This is a death knell for boxing, and I'm going to make a ton of money on the rematch," Arum said.

😱😡

Did you watch the fight? Bradley won.

Was Pacquiao badly beaten, heck no, was he even hurt, doesn't look that way either. It's a technical thing, and the numbers say Pacquiao lost.

The only numbers I've seen that say Pacquiao lost are the 2 judges who gave him the fight. His manager, promoter, one of three judges, espn, hbo, and apparently everyone else ringside who tallied anything, and the computer all say otherwise. And someone else in here already said they watched the ppv and no way did he win.

However I bet the rematch will make big money (hmmmm)

the rematch is going to be huge. the only fight that would be bigger is mayweather vs paco

Huge but fucking boring. It was already a completely lopsided and Bradley was outclassed last night. Only thing that might be exciting is that Pacqiuao will be looking for KO.

One of the Judges defends his scoring.

"In the second half of the fight, Pacquiao picked off a lot of punches to the head, but Bradley landed some hard body shots. That hurt Pacquiao. I don't mean it hurt him in the sense of it physically hurting him, but in terms of scoring and piling up points. Bradley did an excellent job standing his ground as a boxer. Remember, it's a boxing match and Bradley demonstrated his ability to box expertly."

Soooo Paquiao hits some power punches to Bradley's head that knocks him back and Paquiao blocking almost every head shot doesnt mean anything but Bradley hitting body shots wins the fight? Ok.

I saw Bradley demonstrating his ability to hit Pacquiao's arms more than anything.

They should make the judge defend his scoring in the boxing ring versus one of the disgruntled fans who wins a random drawing. only instead of boxing gloves they wrap their hands in ropes coat the outside of the ropes in epoxy and press broken glass into the epoxy.

Professional boxing matches are scored on four criteria:

1) Clean punching
2) Effective aggression
3) Ring generalship
4) Defense

Each is supposed to count equally.

Also, fights are scored by rounds, not in total. So in a theoretical three round fight, you could slightly edge your opponent in two rounds, while losing decisively in the third, and still win on points.

It just cant be coincidence we see so many controversially decisions in boxing time after time. Even MMA gets it wrong also, but come on, its big fight after big fight in boxing.

I'm thinking professional boxing needed a new "undefeated" boxer to generate money - one that won't back down from other fighters like Pac-Man... since Mayweather keeps chickening out or getting himself locked up...

What I want to know is how Bradley managed to grow so many bones in his foot. From the article:

They said that just because the X-ray did not show a fracture didn't mean there isn't one," Dunkin said. "He has a lot of pain on the top of the foot and there are 700 bones in there. Some of them are so small. The doctor said the only way to tell if there is a fracture is to do an MRI.

That's 27x the number of bones in a normal human foot. Impressive, but a little strange.

Manny did jack shit rounds 1-3, and he fucking gave away rounds 10-12 I'm not saying he lost 1-3 but he definitely lost 10-12. I had it a draw, I don't see how this is the death of boxing blah blah blah. 2 of the Manny JMM fights were a far bigger robbery than this, to call this fight a robbery's pretty damn funny. Should have been a draw imho, but when it's that close a split decision isn't the worst call possible. A split either way here would have been fine with me. I know Marquez was smiling big after this, he got fucked hard with no Vaseline last November.

Now when Mayweather gets out of jail his previous 50/50 with no cut of the PPV offer that Manny turned down will be a 70/30 no PPV split off he'll probably take. lol.

That won't help things whatsoever.

Because boxing is easy enough to fix as it is. This electronic stuff would make it even easier. They'll fix it just like they fix slot machines.

Slot machines are not fixed. They just are designed to play the suckers.

No need to rig them.

I totally agree. judges are owned by the commission which is owned by las vegas rich cats. 😀

Vegas does not own the commission.

Vegas is the reason why the commission was created.

You may think you know something about boxing.

You know squat about gaming.

Talking like such makes you look like a fool.

Troll post maybe (who knows, there's plenty of morons out there though), but I don't see how you can say that. Pacquiao beat Bradley in all relevant metrics as far as I know.

I watched the fight with my dad and brother and we all couldn't believe the decision. Afterwards, my dad suggested that perhaps the reason for the decision was that the judges were pissed that Pacquiao took forever to get into the ring and wasn't even ready to fight. Yeah the previous match got done early but that's no excuse. What he did was kind of a snub to boxing and the fans, so I tend to agree with my dad. I'm not sure why else they gave it to Bradley.
