He is short. But that pick is definitely chopped. Look at the stool, something's wrong with the angle and the asphalt underneath looks more granular.

Brad Pitt never struck me as particularly tall. 5'10" sounds about right. He looks tall because he's so lean. And he's not really huge, he's just really cut.
