I guess I dont understand how La La Land can win 6 awards, all in major categories, vs Moonlight's 2, both in major categories but still 4 less than La La Land, and La La Land not win Best Picture?

Also, better comeback Moonlight or the Patriots?

so pwc printed two best actress envelopes?

i dont think so. something happend backstage and the envelopes got mixed up. you see two envelopes on stage during the confusion. and when warren held up the correct one you will see best picture at the bottom. when he opened up the wrong envelope he saw best actress on the bottom and was confused on what to do and why he didnt read it.

so instead of using their brains and just saying we got the wrong envelope, Feye read it guessing....

I think so. In an interview afterwards Emma Stone said she'd been holding onto her best actress envelope the entire time this all transpired.

Therefore there must have been two identical envelopes printed.

winners get the statue and envelope? i thought it was statue only.

I suspected there would be some geriatric sh!t when I saw those two old geezers with the "oops I crapped my pants look."

Today's lesson: don't let old people with Alzheimer's hand out awards
The announcers were given the wrong envelope, which said Emma Stone & La La Land. Turns out it was a duplicate for the Best Actress category.

So you can't really blame the announcers this time.

I guess if they were really on the ball, they could have questioned why both were listed, but they didn't.

Well the Envelope did say best actress....

But yeah sounds like PwC's fault. I find it reasonably amusing that the accounting firm didn't have the necessary policies and procedures to verify the correct envelope was being handed out.
