I'm interested in the results, but don't watch the actual awards show, as it is always deathly boring.

So, in general I look up the results in the late evening or else the next morning.

I just don't care about the Academy Awards at all. It's older people that only love musicals and drama that vote and that's all that ever wins.

Yep...my wife watches all this award crap...Oscars, Emmys, music awards, etc. I hang out on my pc in another room...or watch other crap on the tv in the spare room.

The Oscars are for the Hollywood elite ... not for us. It is an opportunity to pat themselves on their own backs for doing a (at best) mediocre job with vast, multi-million dollar production budgets.

In a way, the awards are an insult to the rest of us ...

The entire La La Land cast came up accepted it and then found out it was wrong.

Holy wackiness. I don't normally watch awards shows but I do read about the highlights the next day in regards to the Oscars. I've never seen anything like that before.

I mean La La Land people were up there for over a minute giving speeches before they got corrected. Unreal.
