How about something important like world hunger or violence to children or something worth while. Who gives a crud about your sexuality?

Apparently our government cares a lot about sexuality, not sure why other than to pacify tolerant Christians.

I posted this because I once worked in the entertainment industry. I know a ton of great people and great workers that are gay or lesbian. I've never understood all the hate towards them.

I do think this is a bit different than following the directions on a spam email (re: gas station boycott).
You answered your own question. 🙂

The double entendre is painful.

Going to blow a few big bucks for a laptop, eh? What kind of laptop?

Still trying to decide. Probably will not be decided in time to buy it tomorrow, but you never know.

BTW, equality for what????

Never once in my life was anything (job, college, loans, etc.) decided by my sexuality. No one cared.

Why can't people be content to leave their sex life in the bedroom, where it belongs?

I don't think it's hate, just indifference. I could care less who is in your bedroom and it seems pretty dumb for me to take a day off losing pay to support someone's sexuality when I can't remember when anyone took a day off to support my love of the female anatomy.

One of my friends and co-workers is a lesbian. If I found out she was participating in something like this when calling in sick, it would not make me think, "Wow, the world really needs gay people!" If she was not in her position at work, someone else would have been hired to fill it. She doesn't have to be a lesbian to do her job.

The only time one's sex life is none of your business is when it involves a cigar in the oval office between 1992 and 2000. Otherwise sex is important.

Does this mean that if you are straight and don't care about gay rights that you need to go shopping tomorrow? I guess this is a good excuse to do all my Christmas shopping in one day.

Very true but if a majority was legislating that you couldn't love female anatomy I think you'd feel differently, as would I and a ton of other guys. The bedroom is the place for sexuality, not the Constitution or the legislature. Partnership is different and equality should be the rule, currently it's not though.

The economy only will feel the impact of a boycott when the boycotters feel the impact themselves... 1 day isn't enough to make a real difference... You have to make enough of an impact to show up as an economic trend... this means like 4 weeks or more...

very difficult to do.

If it were indifference, the vote in Louisiana would have been a lot different (78% voted for the amendment banning gay marriage).

You are correct I would have a big problem with it, but you have to remember that our country was started by people who were very big into religion so they had not planned on so many people becoming gay, so it was not taken into consideration and there for not included. So by now wanting the government to step in and make laws OK'ing homosexuality it seems to me that we are opening a can of worms by giving the government the right to OK who is in my bedroom.

Uh oh. I have tomorrow off anyway. I guess I better buy lots of crap and make lots of phone calls. Don't want anyone to think I'm gay.

The constitution only guarantees sepration of church and state, not seperation of bedroom and state.

5) Withdraw from eating. No food or drink for one day. Just to show how much food we as a whole consume per day.

6) While you're at it, withdraw from taking a dump or leak for one day too.

Exactly my point, why even go there? They would of never thought that this would even be an issue, otherwise they would of thought it through and we wouldn't be having this conversation. But of course the world changes and we must adapt. But taking a day off is not going to change some guy's mind in Louisiana.

I don't like to support homosexual businesses as it is. I think gays & lesbians should quit the economy more often.

No Christopher Lowell on TV that day. OMGWAFFLES, teh noes!!!

One would think someone with the grades to get into Cornell would be a more clever troll.
