My roomie melissa told me that our vacuum (rather hers) crapped out and since i was the last person to use it, if i knew what was wrong.. ofcourse i didnt.

So i looked out on craigslist and found a few oldie vacs. I checked all the retailers (BB, Target, Sears etc), found a few in my range (40-50). CL had a few but they were used.. for about 40...

So i went to fry's looking for twist ties / locking ties (and yes i got to make a new trip for that since i forgot it) and ended up picking a Eureka Maxima bagless vacuum for 49.99..

woot!

For the < 15 seconds we ran it, it picked up a fistful clump of dust.. needless to say melissa is going to be cleaning the place tommorow..

I love my roomie, she is so nice... ofcourse i got to do my room and my bathroom, but a good working vac is good. Her old vac was really a peice of crap but it did work. That thing was hell to move around and carry, but frankly i like the new vac, its so easy to move, its like cutting a knife thru semimelted butter.

Cliff notes:

1. Old vac went out - female roomie told me this evening.
2. Got a new vac from fry's - bagless for 49.
3. Cleaned for less than 15 sec and picked up a clump of dust.
4. I am happy!

She paints her face? She's not mature enough to be married.

If a cheapo bagless vacuum can get that much out of the carpet, I'd love to see what a Dyson could do

[Edit]ed for crap spelling.
