Boy I feel like an ass

Yeah, I don't think it does have onboard.

I do my have 6800GT in there, but it was just plugged into it and nothing came up on the monitor... I think there's a seperate connection for VGA to a specific little pin thing, but I can't find it...

Thanks guys 😀

Yeah, the monitor was connected, let me see if maybe it wasn't in all the way or something.

EDIT:

Yeah... all the way in there, VGA card already has my Arctic Cooling NV Silencer 5 on it... all the fans going, everything moving.

everything ok now?

IDK? I can't see anything on the monitor. The ASUS board doesn't spit out any beeps/vocal messages (I may have connected the speaker wrong, but I don't think I did.

I'm going to unplug everything then plug it back in... see if that helps at all.

Thanks again guys.

good luck .... and post back with results

Thanks, but no luck.

I also noticed the video card fan wasn't spinning (tried to plug it into the fan controller (3-pin) and it's only 2 pin... I'll have to wire it into that later, I suppose)

Man this is frustrating 🙂

did you remember to plug in the video card power connector? that happened to me once with a borrowed card, was really embarrassed when i im'd the guy saying that i thought his card was broken and it turned out i just forgot the power connector.

Don't plug your video card's fan into your fan controller. It's usually a 5-volt fan. You don't wanna be feeding your 5-volt fans off a 12-volt controller 😉

Make sure your video card is fully seated in its slot. There are two layers of contacts in there, unlike a PCI slot, so don't be shy with it. Also, on the motherboard itself, make sure you got your ATX12V cable plugged in.

TI4200 doesn't work either.

ATX12V is in there... is there possibly a short somewhere or some such?
Should I start taking out items to test it?

Yeah, try an absolute bare-bones setup on a cardboard surface outside the case, something like shown here. You might want to tell us the full specs of the system including the brand and model of power supply and all other drives, cards, etc, sometimes that helps people get insight.
