I mean, he was hitting a tree with a saw... it takes a special kind of person to not know how to use a saw correctly.

Would you agree to have this kid killed so society can further itself?

lol, most irrelevant post ever?

How so?

It's relevant. Discipline (which isn't just physical, but about authority) is important. It doesn't necessarily mean that the parents are at fault, but that's usually the case. Undisciplined kids (and people in general, actually) end up doing whatever they want. Which can be crazy stuff like looking up how to make explosives on the internet and attempting to set cats on fire.

The fact that she called the cops, rather than being able to discipline her son herself, is not a good sign.

I agree. I want to see him back pedal.

And I bet your mother farted catastrophically while you were making your way down the birth canal, which is why you have that ugly birthmark on your face, which led to your to your outcast status in special school, which contributed to your poor social and cognitive development, which is the underlying reason why you confidentally posted here that spanking is the obvious cure for organically based mental illness (hint: the Mom was trying to get that kid to TAKE HIS MEDICATION.)

Confused and adrift now? Of course you are!

But don't worry, your twice a week home developmental aide will laboriously attempt to explain this post to you with easy to understand, brightly colored crayon diagrams and simple analogies gleaned from toddler's books.

Now drain that sippy cup and stop fidgeting or you'll get another spanking!

😉

Sometimes you need to call the police to let the kid know you're serious... My brother was addicted to meth for years and my parents tried everything they could for him... took a call to the cops and an arrest for him to finally straighten out.

Now obviously the 11 year old in the article isn't on meth, but he probably has some sort of mental disorder.

Spanking more is the Jesus cure for biologically based mental instability in Dumbfuckistan.

It stimulates blood flow in the buttocks which sends endorphins to the brain which promotes Gandhi-like passivity and acceptance, not to mention increased church attendance.

Remember: An angry disciplinarian is Our Lord!

Lol, apparently we have a spanking crew here at atot. If you guys get your jollies off spanking kids you probably shouldn't be having any. I guarantee the kids setting cats on fire have a lot worse abuses than spanking going on in their lives(barring some sort of psychotic disorder).

Isn't it 45, 90, 45, 90?

What kind of horrible mother would turn her kid into the police?

I did once. Actually, I hauled him down to the local Sheriff's department to let a couple deputies speak with him. I won't go into the details of why I did it, but I felt it was necessary.

yeah i'm not against spanking entirely, but it certainly solves 0 problems on its own. Kids need consistency, a clear head and love from their guardian. If you provide them these things everything else will fall into line, no matter what school of child raising you apply to.
